Dorothy Custer is no stranger to extreme celebrations; to mark her 101st birthday she zip-wired across a canyon.
This year she took to the skies again for a birthday base jump off the Perrine Bridge in her native Idaho.
"It was too short!" Ms Custer said after landing. "I don't know why it went down so quickly, but that was alright. There's nothing left to do but just live now."
Known for her harmonica playing, the centenarian initially shot to fame following an appearance on comedian Jay Leno's US chat show after turning 100.
